This was the most flavorless egusi I have ever had. I’m 4 months pregnant and was craving egusi and fufu while in Nashville. And this did not satisfy my craving. Idk if it’s typically cooked this way but it’s a no for me. And it has masking tape with “Egusi” written on it like it was in the refrigerator or freezer and they stuck it in the microwave which would explain a lot more because when I walked in I didn’t smell any food cooking. And the food has no flavor and was very watery. Go somewhere else if you can.

I love Nico’s food. The people are great. However, there is never too many people in there. The location itself is not in a good place to attract the kind of people they want. I think if they had a better location they would have more business cause the food is great. We travel from Columbia Tn to come get Nico’s.

Nico’s Resturant is nestled behind other buildings. When you enter you step into the lounge area. Food orders are taken at a window in the back of the building. I place a to go order and was told the staples would be ready in 20 minutes. I couldn’t wait to try the food it looked delicious. I’ve eaten authentic African cuisine cooked by American Africans but they have moved out of town. I miss the taste and Nico’s didn’t DISAPPOINT! The okra and egusi stew with chicken, fufu, plantain and jollof rice were EXCELLENT. The food was piping hot and flavorful. I will most definitely return to try other dishes! Try it for yourself.

Food was amazing and filling. People that owned the establishment was so sweet and caring. Big portions of food for the price. I would definitely go back. I will have to warn you, unless you've been to this place or know this place, it can be a bit scary. It looks like an abandoned building even during operating hours. We have been here a few times and we still couldn't guess whether it was open or not and had to call to check. But it is worth it. Try it out!

I drove out of my way to go to the restaurant and they were closed it shows that the hours they were supposed to be open was 12 o’clock. This has happened to me almost 3 times with the same restaurant. I recommend that if you go to this restaurant that you call and speak to someone first More

Looking to explore, we decided to go to Nico's, the customer service was great. The lady who served us was polite and friendly. The prices are great too, not what I expected at all. The food? Delicious and well-proportioned. The atmosphere also felt like a typical Nigerian restaurant. I recommend!

Knowing the constraints with getting ingredients, I'll give 5 stars because what we had was tasty. The goat meat was my favorite, Egusi soup was great too, and the jollof was cool. The meals are also cool for the prices. More

Interesting venue. Tried the fufu for the first time here. Was not bad. Never tried before. Tasted like mashed potatoes with no seasonings. Tried with Egusi and the Egusi was good flavor. When you let the fufu slide down with the Egusi, it's better that chewing lol. The rice and beef tasted like it sat on the Buffetline for the day.... Overall, 4 out of 10

I have their catered food on several occasions at various events but this was my first time in the restaurant. I had jollof rice, moin moin, fried plantain (dodo) and fish. My absolute favorite is always the moin-moin. It was well flavored and just the right firmness. The jollof rice was also good. Will be back for more 💚🤍💚

We decided to give this place a try, It was a complete disappointment. We ordered jollof rice with goat meat and whole fried tilapia with fried plantains. When the food arrived it looked fresh and hot like it was just prepared. When we bit in to the meat, it was cold on the inside. The jollof had no flavor. The food look good but didn’t have flavor, it lacked seasoning. The biggest let down was the fried tilapia fish I ordered. Everything was fine until I got to the middle of the fish where there was a pool of oil and blood. I found that the fish wasn’t cooked in the middle, so I took it back to the counter to show them. They argued with me and then finally decided to give me another order of fried fish, which was fried so long I couldn’t even eat the fish because it was so crunchy 😂. It was so petty that I couldn’t even get mad, it was just a waste of time and money.

I visited this place in search of fufu but was left disappointed with the overall experience. It seemed more suited for takeout rather than dining in, as the setup and ambiance were not conducive to a comfortable meal. The loud music further detracted from the dining experience. When the food arrived, it was excessively hot, almost to the point of being difficult to enjoy. Unfortunately, the fufu and rice didn't meet my expectations, as I've had better versions elsewhere. The beef was overcooked, resulting in a less-than-ideal texture, and I found myself unable to finish the soup.
